Where do I start?
My wife and I purchased 2 new Cycrown CycVerve ebikes 3 weeks ago.
We immediately noticed what we believe to be minor issues with 'quality' i.e. an annoying clicking sound that comes from the pedals of one of the bikes, as well as the tail light 'off' button not working, so the lens and batteries need to be removed after every ride. We reached out to Cycrown via their two suggested emails. 9 days later, still no reply. I tried calling the Cycrown 'Customer Service' (I say that loosely) phone number and it immediately puts you in the most irritating 'support queu' ever...only to reward your persistence with being hung up on (now twice in a row)! NOT IMPRESSED with both the quality and customer service. DO NOT BUY, AND STAY AWAY, from CYCROWN...and more importantly the Cycrown website. It was $100 more expensive on Amazon. However, at least there would have been some form of customer service!!
DONT buy these bikes. If I can prevent another customer suffering a $3600 loss I will be happy.
We recently bought a Verve bike and Ultra
bike with high hopes for exploring when camping and riding in city parks and trails. Very disappointed with the quality of the components.
When we first bought the Ebikes, the Ultra bike's Seat came clicking from not being attached to seat frame properly. You sent me a replacment voucher for that. My rear brakes on the Ultra have never worked (see attached picture). I can press the brake handle all the way down to grip and tire will still spin. No brakes whatsoever and this was very unsafe this past weekend coming down a steep hill.
After a few rides the Verve bike especially (which my wife rides) has sticky/stiff shocks already. She can't even compress them on here own. Very dry and rubbing when I force them down even with preload at the lowest setting (see attached pic/vids). We tried to change the "lock" out on the shock but the plastic dial broke...brittle. We are still able to adjust the lock out but now the dial is broken and shocks are still very stiff.
I know these are not top of the line Ebikes but expected more. Hoping to resolve with customer service. Bikes are 4 rides in.
We definitely thought we were buying better quality bikes when we bought them. We were riding with friends this weekend who had Biktrix Ebikes and their quality was much better. They have owned them for 2-3 years and zero issues.
I have attached pictures of our bikes showing current conditions. We barely have 4-5 rides on them, still in new condition. Even displays on LCD screens have original stickers on them. I am currently disputing the charges on my VISA and had to get an expert Bike repair shop to diagnose. I have attached the inspection note. BUYER BEWARE!!!
